How to share the COREpriorities report
Module 2 — Lesson 3

In this lesson you’ll learn:
How to send the COREpriorities report to your clients
What to talk about in your next client meeting
How to engage both partners in the conversation (where applicable)

You’ve sent the survey, you’ve generated the report, now it’s time for the fun part—sharing the results with your clients.
Prior to meeting: Spend 5-10 minutes reviewing the report. Look for similarities and differences between the couple’s lists of priorities. Note their top 5 shared priorities, and consider what resources you can provide to help this family progress their priorities.
Prepare to ask each person why their top 2-3 priorities are so important to them. Make sure you hear from each member of the couple, and not just the most vocal person.
Use phrases like, “I wonder…,” “I noticed…,” or “Tell me about…” to encourage them to share their perspective. You can also use the question bank below to guide the conversation.
The end goal is to help them start to create a plan to invest in advancing their family’s priorities over the next 6-12 months.
This allows natural follow—up opportunities, and ways for you to provide value to your clients.
For example, suppose one of their priorities is “Financial Literacy” for their adult children. In that case, you could follow up in a month with a list of book suggestions, a podcast episode, or a course that could help them with this particular goal.
Notice there is a grid in the report on the COREpriorities Introduction page designed to help clients follow through on 2 or 3 top priorities. A more robust version of that grid, called the COREpriorities Planning Sheet, can be found below

COREpriorities Question Bank
Here are some prompts you can use when meeting with your clients to help generate some conversation about their priorities.
Begin by reviewing the report, noting similarities and differences between each person’s Top 10 Priorities list. Next, use the following questions to help guide the discussion. Intentionally hear from each person. Your objective is to help your client choose 2-3 goals and offer assistance and accountability to help them achieve their goals.
Why do you think your first priority ended up at the top of the list?
I notice you both have the same top priority. Is this something you are already working on, or is it something you would like to begin?
I notice you have some divergent priorities. Why might that be?
How can you choose 2 or 3 to work on together?
I notice you have some overlapping priorities. Seeing your shared list, which of the Top 5 do you think are most important right now?
If you were to set aside extra funds to meet your top 2 or 3 priorities, what would that look like?
What talents (tools, knowledge) do you already have that can help you achieve your top 2-3 priorities? What tools (knowledge, skills) might you need to build in order to achieve these priorities?
What ways can you intentionally schedule time to begin working on these priorities?
