Why is the COREpriorities assessment important?

While it’s true that we can do almost anything in life, it’s equally true that we cannot do everything.

COREpriorities allow you to identify the top 10 areas where your clients would like to see meaningful improvement in their life and/or the lives of their family members over the course of the next 12 months.

This information can help you personalize your interactions with your clients. Caring about their priorities shows that you care about them as a person, and not just as a number.

As you review this report with clients, your conversations will help build rapport and trust with them.

This assessment also provides opportunities for follow-up and accountability. It gives you a non-financial reason to touch base with them to ask, “How are you doing? Are you meeting these goals? How can I help you achieve them?”

This quick 5-minute survey produces a report that addresses the personal goals of each member of the couple, along with their shared priorities as a couple. Many advisors use this report to engage a more passive or disengaged partner.

COREpriorities assessment is the most straightforward of all the COREnology assessments, which makes it a good place to start if you’re new to the tool.

You can use the COREprioriteis assessment:

  • In introductory meetings

  • To onboard new clients

  • To show a personal interest in clients between meetings

  • To create an emotional connection between clients and their financial plan

  • To make inroads with next-generation clients 

Helping your clients identify their priorities will help you understand where you can focus your energy to make the biggest positive impact on the family. It shows you’re taking a personal interest in your clients, and allows you make their plans feel personal by showing them how their goals are reflected in the strategy you’ve created.

This report allows easy first connection and natural follow-up connections as you offer to help your client achieve their priorities. You become a welcome source of trusted accountability.
